Cushion Comfort, Redefined
Maria GunterShare
In hospitality, cushions aren’t just an accessory—they’re the difference between a guest passing through and a guest staying just a little longer. Between a space that looks good… and one that feels unforgettable. So, what actually makes a great outdoor cushion? It’s not just softness, it’s engineering.
Every Silhouette cushion is built with intention—starting at the core. Our cushions utilize a two-layer construction system designed specifically for outdoor hospitality environments. At the center is QuickDryFoam®, wrapped in a layer of polyester fiber that mimics the softness of indoor upholstery while maintaining outdoor performance. What that means in real life? You get that plush, sink-in feel… without sacrificing structure, shape, or longevity.
Outdoor comfort doesn’t work if it can’t handle the outdoors. That’s why our cushions are engineered for moisture management. The open, reticulated structure of QuickDryFoam® allows water to pass through easily, helping cushions drain and dry quickly after exposure to rain or humidity. No trapped water. No lingering dampness.
Just consistent comfort, rain or shine.
Here’s the part most people don’t think about—but absolutely should.
Silhouette cushions feature UREGARD® antimicrobial protection, built directly into the foam core. This helps resist mold, mildew, and common fungi, even in high-moisture environments. Your cushions stay fresher, longer—without compromising performance or aesthetics.
Not all comfort is created equal—and it shouldn’t be. Silhouette cushions are designed with intentional foam density variations. Seat cushions use firmer-density foam for support and shape retention in high-traffic hospitality settings. Back cushions feature softer-density foam for a more relaxed, lounge-style experience. It’s a balance structured where it matters, soft where it counts.
For deeper seating and thicker cushions (6 inches or more), we elevate performance even further. Our flow-through cushion design incorporates outdoor fabric on the top and sides, with sling fabric on the bottom to promote faster drainage and airflow. The result? Cushions that dry faster, perform better, and stay comfortable—without interruption.
At Silhouette, comfort isn’t an afterthought, it’s engineered into every layer, because in hospitality, the details are everything. The way a cushion supports, to the way it recovers, and the way it invites someone to sit… and stay. There’s comfort… and then there’s Silhouette comfort, because the best outdoor spaces aren’t just seen, they’re felt.
